Preliminary Schedule of Ubosot Launching (讲经堂开幕大典的初编流程)

3 years in making, the Ubosot is set to be completed by March next year. The following is the preliminary schedule of launching ceremony (subject to change)

Preliminary Schedule
March 01, 2012 – Thursday (Day 1)
(Day Time)
  • Land soil blessing and discharge the local spirit around the area of Ubosot
  • “Puthapisheh” The group chanting of Ubosot Ceremony Amulet
  • Paste gold foil on sacred stone “Luk Nimit”
  • Devotee’s normal temple activity such as renting amulet, blessing and etc
(Night Time)
  • No Activity

March 02, 2012 – Friday (Day 2)
(Day Time)
  • Paste gold foil on sacred stone “Luk Nimit”
  • Ordination of monk (Novice stage)
  • Devotee’s normal temple activity
 (Night Time)
  • Leather-silhouette show

March 03, 2012 – Saturday (Day 3)
(Day Time)
  • Paste gold foil on sacred stone “Luk Nimit”
  • Ordination of monk (Novice stage)
  • Devotee’s normal temple activity
 (Night Time)
  • Concert will be performance by artist from Thailand

March 04, 2012 – Sunday (Day 4)
(Day Time)
  • Main event of Ubosot Launching
  • Monk group chanting honor by Chao Kun
  • Bury of sacred stone “Luk Nimit”
  • Bury of Birthday Takrut
  • Kasaya blessing, acceptable of ordained temporary monk by Chao Kun
  • Devotee’s normal temple activity

  • Concert will be performance by famous artist Carabao from Thailand

Amulet of Ubosot Launching Ceremony
The amulet that will be released inconjuncition with the Ubosot launching ceremony will be featured by Chinnaraj on front, Phra Phom on rear. The following is the draft by Archan Tia, info as follow:

Front (Chinnaraj)
  • Surrounding by small circle (max is 59), each circle meaning the attendance of Arahant.
  • Chinnaraj image on center.
  • Wording on left: Bury of sacred stone “Luk Nimit”
  • Wording on right: Malaysia
  • Yant on each side of Chinnaraj seat: Phut-Tho
  • Wording on bottom: Wat Sungai Siput (04/03/2012)

Back (Phra Phrom)
  • Surrounding by a single width line (no other sacred meaning).
  • Phar Phrom sitting on 3 head elephant.
  • Yant on top: This is the yant invented by LP Derm, meaning “May you gain the merits of what you have done and may you loose from the bad karma. May you attend enlighten and happy always”
  • Yant on bottom: This is the yant invented by Archan Tia himself, the yant of sacred 3 head elephant, meaning “May you gain metta on wherever you are, wherever you go, you will be adorable by everyone”
  • Yant character on upper part: Na Ma Pha Tha, meaning the four element: wind, fire, water, soil. This is also the soul (heart) of amulet
  • Yant character on bottom part: Na Ca Li Ti, meaning good metta and bring wealth.

The measurement of amulet is about 4CM in height, will be produced in Thailand (same factory that produce Sivali), the following will be the produced units:

  • Kamakan Set – 1000 set with 3 pcs in each set featured by Gold, Silver and Black Bronze. Each set RM250. Come with nice box.
  • Single Piece – 2000 pcs in Black Bronze color, each piece RM50. Come with amulet box.

Amulet is now been making in Thailand and will be available in temple very soon, Archan Tia said he will spend huge amount of time to hardcorely recite this batch of amulet. Amulet will be released to public after the “Puthapisheh” ritual which is the group chanting on day 1 at Ubosot launching ceremony.
