Where is my classroom?
While most kids in city complaint to their mom just about everything is not good enough in their school, this is how kids at Wat Sungai Siput that located in rural area in northern region of Kedah attend their class and learn how to read in Thai. The classroom (if this is how to call it) setup outside of a building that served as kitchen, with simple table, chair and white board, this is how they study in a poor facility environment.
Wat Sungai Siput started the class 9 years ago in a small attap house, there were 50 students at that time. With Archan Tia’s vision and his dedication this place soon became better but still it is far away from good enough comparing with what we have today in the city. Everything that you can see from this temple is donated by those kind peoples.
Wat Sungai Siput is highly reputed with its sakyant, takrut, amulet, bad disease healing, fortune enhancing and etc, Archan Tia has to work out with them one by one to collect fund for the development of the temple, its has been 10 years and yes indeed this place has transformed to become a better place as a center of religion and school for those poor kids but there are more that need to be enhanced. Looking at the eyes of Archan Tia I saw his kindness, his hopes, his great vision and what touching deep inside my heart is the dedication that he possessed never broke since the day he stood on this land.
